On Monday we held our 100th meeting, jointly hosted by Sage User Network and Sage (UK) Ltd.
We are delighted to report that this was without doubt the most successful meeting we have held yet; we were joined by members, non-members, Sage Business Partners and Developers, and a large number of Sage representatives including product specialists, support and R&D. All the presentations from this meeting will be available soon.
Paul Stobart, Sage CEO UK and Ireland Region, opened the event with an excellent talk on the relationships between Sage, the Business Partners and the Sage User Network; Paul highlighted the importance and value of the user group and how, through us, Sage are working with their customers to produce product changes that the customers want. Paul also gave an overview of the Sage product portfolio and some of the product releases to come later this year including Sage 50 on MySQL in the Autumn, Sage 200 advanced reporting and BI and Sage 200 for mobiles, both due Summer 2010. Datel were the winners of our Business Partner of the Year Award 2009, for the fourth consecutive year, a great achievement. All the sessions were very well received, the Sage 1000 v3.0 workshop was a great opportuinity for the delegates to see the new features to come in the summer and feed back their reactions; it was a lively and productive session for all present.

Read what Paul says about the Sage User Network “The Sage User Network has a pivotal role in making clear to all of us at Sage the customer perspective on key issues of the moment. In turn, Sage User Network’s substantial and influential membership provides us with a ready-made sounding board for our own thoughts on strategy and product development, and a source of opinion on other topical issues such as technology choice, cloud computing, licensing strategy, service-based computing and much else besides. What is important, of course, is that the Sage User Network remain an entirely independent organisation, entitled and empowered to make frank and candid observations to us about every aspect of our future strategy, to compliment us when we get things right, and to criticise us when we get things wrong. At Sage we genuinely believe ourselves to have a customer-centric culture, yet I readily acknowledge that perceptions in the market are not necessarily the same as our own! The relationship with the Sage User Network gives us a vital connection to the reality of customers’ perspectives, helps us keep our feet firmly on the ground, and is a relationship we value highly.” |
